Primary Auditory Cell System

The auditory cell system is comprised of the ear and the auditory sensory systems. The function of the auditory cell system is to detect sound vibrations and convert them to electrical signals in the central nervous system. Epithelial cells and fibroblasts are vital cellular components for the normal function of the auditory cell system. Abnormal cell proliferation and regulation of middle ear fibroblasts and epithelial cells contributes to the development of cholesteatoma. We offer 2 types of normal human primary cells in the auditory cell system including: middle ear epithelial cells and middle ear fibroblasts.
