MCP-5 (CCL12) is a chemotactic factor that attracts eosinophils, monocytes, and lymphocytes but not neutrophils. It is also a potent active monocyte chemokine that signals through CCR2. It is Involved in allergic inflammation and the host response to pathogens. Also, it may play a pivotal role during early stages of allergic lung inflammation.
