Vascular endothelial growth factor B (VEGFB) is a homodimeric, heparin-binding glycoprotein member of the VEGF family of growth factors. Compared to VEGFA, VEGFB’s main role is the maintenance of newly formed blood vessels and is involved in endothelial cell physiology. It is a ligand for vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1 (VEGFR1) and neuropilin-1 (NRP1), while the binding of neuropilin-1 to VEGFB186 is proteolysis regulated.
Formulation- Lyophilized as a 0.2 µm filtered solution in Acetonitrile and TFA
Endotoxin Level- <1.0 EU/µg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.
Storage Condition- Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage, we recommend adding a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
