IL-1 epsilon is an actively secreted member of the IL-1 family of cytokines. It is mainly expressed in tissues with epithelial cells and in psoriatic plaques, as well as by monocytes, B cells and T cells. IL-1 epsilon has been shown to signal through the IL-Rrp2 receptor which is primarily expressed on certain denditic cells, and to act as an agonist of NF-kappaB which then stimulates the inflammatory response in bronchial epithelial cells.
Aliases- IL-1 Epsilon, FIL1 epsilon, Interleukin-1 family member 6, IL-1F6, IL-36 gamma, IL-1F, IL-1H1
- Recombinant Human Interleukin-36 alpha (IL36A)
Formulation- Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered solution in PBS, NaCl and Tween® 20 with BSA as a carrier protein
Endotoxin Level- <1.0 EU/µg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.
Storage Condition- The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at +2° to +8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
