An IGF-binding protein, IBP-5 is produced by fibroblasts, myoblasts, osteoblasts and vascular smooth muscle cells. IBP-5 has been shown to specifically inhibit breast cancer cell growth by inducing apoptosis. IBP-5 contains an IGFBP domain and a thyroglobulin type-1 domain.
Aliases- IBP-5, IGF-binding protein 5, IGFBP-5, IGF-BP5
- Recombinant Human Insulin-Like Growth Factor Binding Protein 5 (IGFBP5)
Formulation- Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered solution of 10mM sodium Citrate pH 3.0
Endotoxin Level- <1.0 EU/µg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.
Storage Condition- The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at +2° to +8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
