FGF16 is a member of the FGF family and is a heparin binding growth factor. FGF16 plays an important role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation and cell differentiation, and is required for normal cardiomyocyte proliferation and heart development. It also is important for development of the nervous system. FGF16 signals though FGFR 2c and 3c.
Aliases- Fibroblast Growth Factor 16, FGF-16, FGFG, Recombinant Human Fibroblast Growth Factor (FGF16)
Endotoxin Level- <1.0 EU/µg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.
Storage Condition- The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at +2° to +8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
