The mEER cell line was isolated from the oropharyngeal epithelium of a C57BL/6 mouse. The cells were immortalized with a retrovirus containing HPV16 E6, HPV16 E7 and Ras genes. These cells are useful in studying head and neck squamous cell carcinoma in an immune-competent, syngeneic animal model.
