IL1RN is found in the conditioned medium of a variety of cells and is produced by macrophages, monocytes, and neutrophils. The soluble form of IL1RN has been shown to be produced by hepatocytes and to be regulated by pro-inflammatory cytokines. It may help in the treatment of sepsis, cachexia, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic myelogenous leukemia, asthma, psoriasis, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Aliases- IRAP, ICIL-1RA, IL1 inhibitor, INN=Anakinra, IL1F3, IL-1ra, IL-1RN
- Recombinant Human Interleukin-1 Receptor Antagonist (IL1RN)
Formulation- Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered tris solution with sodium chloride (pH 7.5)
Endotoxin Level- <1.0 EU/µg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.
Storage Condition- The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at +2° to +8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
