BMP-7(osteogenic protein- 1) is produced in the kidney and in the nervous system. It is produced also by human fetal trophoblasts in vivo and may be involved in the regulation of the synthesis of chorionic gonadotropin and progesterone by trophoblasts. BMP7 induces new bone growth, and forms heterodimers with BMP2A. The factor is a member of the TGF family of proteins.
Aliases- Osteogenic protein 1, OP-1, INN=Eptotermin alfa, µmP7
- Recombinant Human Bone Morphogenetic Protein 7 (BMP7)
Formulation- Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered solution containing 10mM sodium citrate, pH 3.5
Endotoxin Level- <1.0 EU/µg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.
Storage Condition- The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at +2° to +8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
