Resistin, Rat Recombinant, produced in
Escherichia coli is disulfide-linked homodimer consisting of 2x95 amino acid polypeptide chains and having a molecular mass of approximately 20.2 kDa.Resistin is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: Cysteine-rich secreted protein FIZZ3, Adipose tissue-specific secretory factor, ADSF, C/EBP-epsilon-regulated myeloid-specific secreted cysteine-rich protein, Cysteine-rich secreted protein A12-alpha-like 2, RSTN, XCP1, RETN1, MGC126603, MGC126609.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4 and 0.02 % Tween-20.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 97% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Resistin in sterile PBS not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability: Lyophilized Resistin although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Resistin should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
