MEC, Rat Recombinant, produced in
Escherichia coli is a non-glycosylated, Polypeptide chain containing 116 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 13.1 kDa. The Rat MEC is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: MEC, CCK1, SCYA28, MGC71902, CCL28, C-C motif chemokine 28, Small-inducible cytokine A28, Mucosae-associated epithelial chemokine, Protein CCK1.
Formulation: The protein was lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered concentrated solution in 20mM PB, pH 7.4 and150mM NaCl.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 95% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized MEC in sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability: Lyophilized MEC although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution MEC should be stored at +4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract murine lymphocytes using a concentration range of 1.0-10 ng/ml.
