Lymphotactin (XCL1), Rat Recombinant, produced in
Escherichia coli is a non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 93 amino acids and having a molecular mass of approximately 10.0 kDa.Lymphotactin is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: XCL1, Cytokine SCM-1, ATAC, Lymphotaxin, SCM-1-alpha, Small inducible cytokine C1, XC chemokine ligand 1, LTN, LPTN, SCM1, SCM-1, SCYC1, SCM-1a.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 97% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Lymphotactin in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability: Lyophilized XCL1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Lymphotactin should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using human XCR1 transfected murine BaF3 cells < 100 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 1.0 × 104 IU/mg.
