GCSF, Rat Recombinant, produced in
Escherichia coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 195 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 21.5 kDa. The G-CSF is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: Granulocyte colony stimulating factor, Protein Csf3, Csf3.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered solution in 5mM Sodium Citrate, pH 4.0.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 97% as determined by: (a)Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b)Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized GCSF in sterile 18M-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability: Lyophilized G-CSF although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution GCSF should be stored at +4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: The ED50 determined by a cell proliferation assay using murine NFS-60 cells is less than 0.05ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 2. 0× 107 IU/mg.
