Fractalkine, Rat Recombinant, produced in
Escherichia coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 76 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 8.7 kDa. The Fractalkine is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: Fractalkine, CX3CL1, Neurotactin, CX3C membrane-anchored chemokine, Small inducible cytokine D1, NTN, NTT, CXC3, CXC3C, SCYD1, ABCD-3, C3Xkine.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 97% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Fractalkine in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Stability: Lyophilized FractalkineRat although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Fractalkine should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract human monocytes using a concentration range of 5-10 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 100,000-200,000units/mg.
