E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 433 amino acids (1-413 a. a.) and having a molecular mass of 48.4 kDa. The GOT1 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-Tag at N-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Formulation: The GOT1 solution (0.5mg/ml) containing 20mM Tris-HCl pH 8.0, 2mM DTT, 0.1M NaCl & 20% glycerol.

Biological Activity: Specific activity is > 50 units/mg, and is defined as the amount of enzyme that converts 1umole of a-ketoglutarate to L-Glutamate per minute at pH 8.0 at 25C.
