Recombinant human TGF-b 3 produced in HEK cells is a non-glycosylated homodimer, having a total molecular weight of 25 kDa. The TGF-b 3 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: Transforming Growth Factor-beta3, TGFB3, ARVD, FLJ16571, TGF-beta3.
Formulation: The TGF-b 3 was lyophilized from 1mg/ml in 1xPBS.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 95% as obsereved by SDS-PAGE.
Source: HEK.
Uniprot ACC number: P106 00
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Lyophilized TGF-b 3 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution TGF-b 3 should be stored at +4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: The specific activity was determined by the dose-dependent inhibition of IL-4 induced proliferation of mouse HT-2 cells (BALB/c spleen activated by sheep erythrocytes in the presence of IL-2) and is typically 0.1-0.5 ng/ml.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized TGF-b 3 in sterile 4 mM HCl containing 0.1% endotoxin-free recombinant HSA.
