Recombinant human TGF-b 3 produced in CHO is a disulfide-linked homodimeric, glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 112 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 25 kDa. The TGF-b 3 is purified by standard chromatographic techniques.

Formulation: The protein solution contains 20% Ethanol and 0.1% Acetic acid.

Amino acid sequence: The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Ala-Leu-Asp-Thr-Asn.

Stability: TGF-beta 3 although stable at +4°C. for 3 weeks, should be stored at -20°C to -70°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Biological Activity: The biological activity was determined using cell toxicity assay via HT-2 cells. The ED50 was found to be < 0.05 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 20,000,000 IU/mg.
