Recombinant human RELM-b produced in
E. coli is a disulfide-linked homodimer, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 2 x 89 amino acids and having a total molecular mass of 19 kDa. RELM-b is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: Resistin-like beta, RELM beta, Cysteine-rich secreted protein FIZZ2, Colon and small intestine-specific cysteine-rich protein, Cysteine-rich secreted protein A12-Alpha-like 1, Colon carcinoma-related gene protein, RELM-b, XCP2, HXCP2.
Formulation: RELM-b was lyophilized from a solution containing 0.1% Trifluoroacetic Acid (TFA).
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Source:Escherichia coli. Amino acid sequence: MQCSLDSVMD KKIKDVLNSL EYSPSPISKK LSCASVKSQG RPSSCPAGMA VTGCACGYGC GSWDVQLETT CHCQCSVVDW TTARCCHLT.
Uniprot ACC number: Q9BQ08
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Lyophilized RELM-b although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution RELM-b Human Recombinant should be stored at +4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized RELM-b in sterile 0.1% TFA not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
