Recombinant human Placental Growth Factor-1 produced in
E. coli is a non-glycosylated, disulfide-linked homodimer consisting of 2x132 amino acid polypeptide chains, having a total molecular mass of approximately 29.7 kDa. PLGF1 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: PIGF, PGF, PLGF-1.
Formulation: lyophilized from a 0.2μm filtered concentrated solution in 10 mM Sodium phosphate pH 7.5.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 95% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.

Uniprot ACC number: P49763
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Lyophilized PLGF1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Placental Growth Factor-1 should be stored at +4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract human monocytes of using a concentration range of 1.0-10.0 ng/ml.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Placental Growth Factor-1 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H
2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
