Recombinant Human NRN1 produced in
E. coli cells is a non-glycosylated, homodimeric protein containing 2x88 amino acid chains and having a molecular mass of 19.4 kDa. The NRN1 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: Neuritin 1, NRN1, NRN, dJ380B8.2, Neuritin.
Formulation: The NRN1 was lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered concentrated solution in 1×PBS, pH 7.4.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 95% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Source:Escherichia coli. Amino acid sequence: AGKCDAVFKG FSDCLLKLGD SMANYPQGLD DKTNIKTVCT YWEDFHSCTV TALTDCQEGA KDMWDKLRKE SKNLNIQGSL FELCGSGN.
Uniprot ACC number: Q9NPD7
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Lyophilized NRN1 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution NRN1 should be stored at +4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by a cell proliferation assay using rat C6 cells is less than 25 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 4.0 × 104 IU/mg.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized NRN1 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H
2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
