Recombinant human M-CSF produced in HEK cells is a glycosylated homodimer, having a molecular weight range of 35-40 kDa due to glycosylation. The M-CSF is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor, CSF-1, Lanimostim, MCSF, MGC31930, M-CSF.
Formulation: The M-CSF was lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered solution containing 0.67mg/ml in 1xPBS.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 95% as obsereved by SDS-PAGE.
Source: HEK.
Uniprot ACC number: P09603
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Lyophilized M-CSF although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution M-CSF should be stored at +4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: The specific activity was determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of murine M-NFS-60 cells (Mouse Myeloid Leukemia indicator cell line) and is 1.13 ng/ml.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized M-CSF in sterile 1xPBS containing 0.1% endotoxin-free recombinant HSA.
