Recombinant human Interleukin-3 produced in HEK cells is a glycosylated monomer, having a molecular weight range of 17-45 kDa due to glycosylation. The IL-3 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: MCGF (Mast cell growth factor), Multi-CSF, HCGF, P-cell stimulation factor, IL-3, MGC79398, MGC79399.
Formulation: The IL3 was lyophilized from 1mg/ml in 1xPBS.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 90% as obsereved by SDS-PAGE.
Source: HEK.
Uniprot ACC number: P08700
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Lyophilized IL-3 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution IL3 should be stored at +4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: The activity was determined by the dose dependent stimulation of the proliferation of human TF-1 cells (human erythroleukemic indicator cell line) and is typically 0.5-2 ng/ml corresponding to a specific activity of 500,000-2,000,000units/mg.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized IL-3 in sterile water not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
