Recombinant human Interleukin-17B produced in
E. coli is a homodimeric, non-disulfide-linked polypeptide chain containing a total of 322 amino acids (2 chains of 161aa) and having a molecular mass of 36.5 kDa. The IL-17B is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: Interleukin-17B, IL-17B, Cytokine Zcyto7, Interleukin-20, Neuronal interleukin-17-related factor, IL20, NIRF, ZCYTO7.
Formulation: Interleukin-17B was lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.05% Tween-20 and 3%Trehalose.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 95% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.

Uniprot ACC number: Q9UHF5
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Lyophilized Interleukin 17B although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution IL17B should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by inducing IL-8 secretion of human HepG2 cells is less than 1.0 µg/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of > 1000 IU/mg.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Interleukin 17B in sterile 18MΩ-cm H
2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
