Recombinant human Interleukin-15 produced in
E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 114 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 12.9 kDa. The IL-15 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: IL-15, MGC9721.
Formulation: The protein was lyophilized from PBS pH 7.4.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 97% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis SDS-PAGE.
Source:Escherichia coli. Amino acid sequence: MNWVNVISDL KKIEDLIQSM HIDATLYTES DVHPSCKVTA MKCFLLELQV ISLESGDASI HDTVENLIIL ANNSLSSNGN VTESGCKECE ELEEKNIKEF LQSFVHIVQM FINTS.
Uniprot ACC number: P40933
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Lyophilized Interleukin-15 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution IL15 should be stored at +4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependant stimulation of the proliferation of mouse CTLL-2 was found to be < 0.5 ng/ml
, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 2 x 106 IU/mg.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Interleukin-15 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H
2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
