E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 109 amino acids (25-110 a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 11.8 kDa. Insulin is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Biological Activity: Measured in a cell proliferation assay using MCF7 human breast cancer cell. The ED50 for this effect is less or equal to 4 ug/ml.
