Recombinant human IHH produced in
E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 176 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 19.8 kDa. The IHH is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: Indian hedgehog protein, IHH, HHG-2, BDA1.
Formulation: lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered concentrated solution in 1×PBS, pH 7.4.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 95% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.

Uniprot ACC number: Q14623
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Lyophilized IHH although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution IHH should be stored at +4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to induce alkaline pH ospH atase production by C3H/10T1/2 (CCL-226) cells. The expected ED50 for this effect is 3.0-10.0?g/ml corresponding to a specific activity of 100-334units/mg.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized IHH in sterile 18MΩ-cm H
2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
