Recombinant human IFN-alpha 1a produced in
E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 167 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 19.5 kDa. The IFNA1A ( V115A ) is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: IFN-alpha 1a, IFN-a 1a, IFN Alpha 1a.
Formulation: The IFN-a 1a protein was lyophilized from a 0.2µm filtered concentrated solution in PBS, pH 7.4, containing 3% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, 0.05% Tween-80.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 97% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.

Uniprot ACC number: P01562
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Lyophilized IFNA1A although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution IFN-alpha 1a should be stored at +4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: The specific activity as determined in a viral resistance assay viral ressistance assay was found to be 100,000,000IU/ mg.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized IFN Alpha 1a in sterile 18MΩ-cm H
2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
