Recombinant human Flt3-Ligand produced in Sf9 insect cells is a glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 155 amino acids and having migrating on SDS-PAGE at 19 kDa. Flt3-Ligand is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: Fms-related tyrosine kinase 3 ligand, FLK2, STK1, CD135, Stem Cell Tyrosine Kinase 1, FLT3LG, Flt3.
Formulation: The protein was Lyophilized with no additives.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 95% as determined by: (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Source: Baculovirus Sf9 cells.
Amino acid sequence: The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Thr-Gln-Asp-Cys-Ser.
Uniprot ACC number: P49771
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Lyophilized Flt3-Ligand although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Flt3-L should be stored at +4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: The ED50, calculated by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of human MUTZ-2 cells is < 3.0 ng/ml.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Flt3-Ligand in sterile 18MΩ-cm H
2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
