Recombinant human FGF4 produced in
E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 182 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 19.8 kDa. The FGF4 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: HBGF4, FGF-4, FGF4, KFGF, HSTF1.
Formulation: The FGF4 protein was Lyophilized with 2x PBS, pH 7.4.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Uniprot ACC number: P08620
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Lyophilized FGF4 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution FGF-4 should be stored at +4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF receptors is ≤0.5 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of ≥ 2,000,000units/mg.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized FGF4 Human Recombinant sterile 18MΩ-cm H
2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
