Recombinant human TAFA2 produced in
E. coli is a non-glycosylated, Polypeptide chain containing 101 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 11.2 kDa. The TAFA2 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: Family with sequence similarity 19 (chemokine (C-C motif)-like) member A2, Chemokine-like protein TAFA-2, protein FAM19A2.
Formulation: The protein was lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered concentrated solution in 1×PBS, pH 7.4.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 97% as determined by(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC. (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Source:Escherichia coli. Amino acid sequence: ANHHKAHHVK TGTCEVVALH RCCNKNKIEE RSQTVKCSCF PGQVAGTTRA APSCVDASIV EQKWWCHMQP CLEGEECKVL PDRKGWSCSS GNKVKTTRVT H
Uniprot ACC number: Q8N3H0
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Lyophilized TAFA2 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18C. Upon reconstitution TAFA2 should be stored at 4C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Biological Activity: Fully biologically active when compared to standard. Measured by its ability to enhance neurite outgrowth of E16-E18 rat embryonic cortical neurons.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized TAFA2 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H
2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
