Procalcitonin Rhesus Recombinant produced in
E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain (Ala26-Asn140) containing 125 amino acids including a 10 aa His tag at N-terminus. The total calculated molecular mass is 14 kDa.
Synonyms: Calcitonin.
Formulation: Procalcitonin was filtered (0.4µm) and lyophilized from 0.5mg/ml solution in 20mM Tris buffer and 50mM NaCl, pH 7.5.
Physical Appearance: Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Uniprot ACC number: G7NDV1
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Store lyophilized protein at -20°C. Aliquot the product after reconstitution to avoid repeated freezing/thawing cycles. Reconstituted protein can be stored at +4°C for a limited period of time; it does not show any change after two weeks at +4°C.
Solubility: It is recommended to add 200µl deionized water to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5 mg/ml and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. Procalcitonin is not sterile! Please filter the product by an appropriate sterile filter before using it in the cell culture.
