Lypressin is a hormone used to prevent or control the frequent urination, increased thirst, and loss of water associated with diabetes insipidus (water diabetes). Its molecular weight is 1 kDa having an amino acid sequence of Cys-Tyr-Phe-Gln-Asn-Cys-Pro-Lys-Gly-NH2. The Molecular Formula is: C46H65N13O12S2. The CAS Number is: 50-57-7.
Formulation: The protein (1mg/ml) was lyophilized with no additives.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 99% as determined by RP-HPLC.
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Store the lyophilized Lypressin between 2-8°C, do not freeze. Upon reconstitution Lypressin should be stored at +4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Lypressin in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. Lypressin is also soluble in 1% Acetic Acid.
