Glucagon Human Synthetic is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 29 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 3483 Dalton and the molecular formula is: C153H225N43O49S. The Glucagon is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Synonyms: GLP1, GLP2, GRPP.
Formulation: Glucagon peptide was formulated with no additives.
Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity: Greater than 96.0% as determined by RP-HPLC.
Amino acid sequence: His-Ser-Gln-Gly-Thr-Phe-Thr-Ser-Asp-Tyr-Ser-Lys-Tyr-Leu-Asp-Ser-Arg-Arg-Ala-Gln-Asp-Phe-Val-Gln-Trp-Leu-Met-Asn-Thr-OH.
Uniprot ACC number: P01275
Transportation method: Shipped at room temperature.
Stability: Glucagon although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18°C. Upon reconstitution Glucagon should be stored at +4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
Solubility: It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Glucagon in a sterile 1% HCl solution at a concentration of 0.1-1 mg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
