Product Use: FBS is for research use only. It is not approved for human or animal use, or for application in clinical or in vitro diagnostic procedures.
Storage: Store FBS at -20oC. Protect from light. The serum is stable until the expiration date located on the bottle when stored at -20°C. When stored in the dark at +4oC, it is stable for one month.
Shipping: Dry Ice.
Prepare for use: Remove the tube from the freezer and acclimate at room temperature for 10 minutes. Place product in a +30-+37oC water bath and allow to thaw completely, ensuring each tube is agitated or swirled every 5-10 minutes. After thawing, use the serum or place into a refrigerator for up to 1 month. Aliquots should be prepared to avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Note: Flocculent material or precipitates may appear upon thawing or if stored for prolonged periods of time in the refrigerator. This is a normal characteristic of any type of serum and is not an indicator of bacterial growth or signs of detrimental performance.
Caution: If handled improperly, some components of this product may present a health hazard. Take appropriate precautions when handling this product, including the wearing of protective clothing and eyewear. Dispose of properly.
