NK cells are important regulators of the adaptive immune response through their cross talk with dendritic cells (DCs) that promotes DC maturation, T helper and cytotoxic T lymphocyte mediated immunity. NK cell activity is regulated by cytokines such as IL-2, IL-12, IL-15, IL-18 and type I interferons (IFNs).
Natural Killer (NK) cells exert cytotoxic functions and secrete IFN-γ and other pro-inflammatory cytokines against virus-infected and tumor cells.
Human peripheral blood NK cells are isolated from blood mononuclear cells of single donor. The NK cells are CD56 positive selected and deliver in suspension culture.
