Immortalized Mouse Dermal Papilla Cells (iDP6) were isolated from a C57BL/6 mouse and are found to have similar morphology to primary dermal papilla cells. The media for these cells was optimized to promote long-term culture of the cells.

Propagation: The base medium for this cell line is Prigrow VIII available at abm, Cat. No. TM018. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum (TM999)* to a final concentration of 10%, Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution (G255) to a final concentration of 1%, Sodium Pyruvate Solution (TM057) to a final concentration of 1%, MEM Non-essential Amino Acid Solution (Sigma) to a final concentration of 1%, and Recombinant Mouse FGF2 (Z200015) to a final concentration of 10 ng/mL.
Carbon dioxide (CO₂): 5%, Temperature: +37.0°C.* abm does not recommend to use heat-inactivated FBS for cell culture unless specified otherwise.
