Immortalized Mouse CD81−/− Macrophage Cells (ASD1) is derived from the long bones of the CD81 -/- mice. The cells were immortalized with the SV40 large T antigen and underwent limiting dilution cloning. The cell line offers users the ability to conduct experiments with a reliable source of immortal cells in vitro. The CD81 gene has associations with malignancies as it is localized within the tumor-suppressor gene region. Hence valuable for studies in regards to cancer.

Propagation: The base medium for this cell line is Prigrow III medium available at abm (TM003). To make the completed growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum (TM999)* to final concentration of 6%, 6% Nu-Serum (Corning^™ 355100), and Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution (G255) to a final concentration of 1%.
