Immortalized MHC II -/- Mouse Macrophage Cells (C2Dt) – SV40T

Immortalized MHC II -/- Mouse Macrophage Cells (C2Dt) is derived from the knockout mice negative for MHCII molecule. Unlike the Immortalized MHC II -/- Mouse Macrophage Cells (C2D) (abm, T0225), C2Dt were immortalized through transfection with the pSV-4 plasmid with the SV40 large T antigen. These cells are tumorigenic and when exposed to LPS may secrete IL-6. It is a homogenous source of MHCII-/- macrophage cells for research.

Propagation: The base medium for this cell line is Prigrow III medium available at abm (TM003). To make the completed growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum (TM999)* to final concentration of 6%, 6% Nu-Serum (Corning^™ 355100), and Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution (G255) to a final concentration of 1%.
Carbon dioxide (CO₂): 5%, Temperature: +37.0°C.* abm does not recommend to use heat-inactivated FBS for cell culture unless specified otherwise.
