Immortalized MHC II -/- Mouse Macrophage Cells (C2D) is derived from the knockout mice negative for MHCII molecule. They are stable in culture and survived through crisis in which they spontaneously immortalized in culture. The C2D cells retain the phenotypic and functional properties of mature macrophages enabling end users to perform molecular and functional studies.

Propagation: The base medium for this cell line is Prigrow III medium available at abm (TM003). To make the completed growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum (TM999)* to final concentration of 6%, 6% Nu-Serum (Corning™, 355100), and Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution (G255) to a final concentration of 1%. Carbon dioxide (CO2): 5%, Temperature: +37.0°C.* abm does not recommend to use heat-inactivated FBS for cell culture unless specified otherwise.
Quality Control: 1) Cells were able to grow without CSF-1; 2) Flow cytometry was used to assess marker expressions
