Immortalized Human Rheumatoid Arthritis Cartilage Progenitor Cells (RA-CPC) are derived from osteoarthritic knee cartilage of a caucasian female. The cells were immortalized by inducing the cells with hTERT. The cells are progenitors cells positive for mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) markers, and may also be differentiated into adipocytes and cells of the osteoblastic lineage for further studies.
Immortalization Method: Immortalized with lentivirus containing hTERT, packaged using Lentifectin™ Transfection Reagent
