Microglia cells are resident macrophages of the brain and spinal cord and they act as the first and the main form of active immune defense in the nervous system.
The Immortalized Human Microglia - SV40 cell line is derived from Primary Human Microglia Cells (>99% purity) and have maintained microglial marker CD68 and NGF as demonstrated by RT-PCR.
These cells are suitable for studies of human microglia in health and disease.
