HFK-16E6E7 cells are human keratinocytes immortalized by being transfected with the E6 and E7 open reading frames of human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV16) using retroviruses. HFK-16E6E7 cells can be a useful cell line model as HPVs-transfected human epithelial cells for studiying the HPV pathology and the role of HPVs in theetiology of cervical cancer.
