Immortalized Human Fallopian Tube Secretory Epithelial Cells (FT240) are derived from human fallopian tube tissue harvested from healthy patients. The primary cells isolated from the tissue were first transduced with retrovirus containing hTERT, and then transduced a second time, with retrovirus containing CDK4^R24C and p53 shRNA.

Propagation: The base medium for this cell line is a 1:1 mix of Prigrow III medium available at abm, Cat. No. TM003 and Ham's F-12 Nutrient Mix (Gibco). To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: Ultroser G (Pall)* to a final concentration of 2% and Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution (G255) to a final concentration of 1%.
Change media every 2-3 days.
Carbon dioxide (CO₂): 5%, Temperature: +37.0°C.
* Do not use FBS for cell culture as it can induce phenotypic changes.
