Murine Bladder Carcinoma Cell Line Transfected With Luciferase (MB49-Luc) are parental MB49 tumor cells transfected with a pSELECT-zeo-LucSh plasmid using Lipofectamine for luciferase expression. Parental MB49, a murine transitional cell bladder carcinoma line, forms tumors when injected into mouse bladders, either orthotopically or subcutaneously. This cell line is suitable for use in studies concerning bladder carcinoma requiring in vivo tumor imaging.

To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: heat-inactivated fetal bovine serum (TM999) to a final concentration of 10%, Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution (G255) to a final concentration of 1%, NEAA to a final concentration of 1X, sodium pyruvate (TM057) to a final concentration of 1 mM, and L-glutamine (G275) to a final concentration of 2 mM.Carbon dioxide (CO₂): 5%, Temperature: +37.0°C.
